Malli (goddes parvathi). A man called rishi seengapattan learnt this divine medical practice from their. Seengapattan is also known as sanjeevani munivar. The names and the history of the following genarations were not clearly known.

Vellappattan genaration and kakki mooppan, patti mooppan, chinna kakki mooppan and his wife valliyammal were the known next genaration people.

Now the otta mooli treatment is practiced by raveendiran ( chinna seengapattan). He only son of late chinna kakki mooppan and valliyammal. 

This otta mooli treatment is today very famous all around here. Because of the selfless service by  vaidhyar  valliyammal, the only women vaidhyar in her genaration so far. She gave treatment to well-known vip's of india. They were miraculausly cured by her treatmend and this service brought her to the lime light.

Indian government awarded her 'paaramparya vaidhya rathna' award in 2001. Now she is no more. After valliyammal in thier heritage it is her son's wife sulaima raveendran is now.

Vaidhyar Raveendran is now continuing 

this divine treatment with his 45 years experience. He has now built a hospital here in attappadi, in his mother valliyammal's name. This hospital is named after as valliyammal gurukulam. 

Nature is their god. Only in the name of mother nature he practices this 'otta mooli vaidhyam'.

“If you are having any trouble, I will cure and I won’t entertain any one, if the disease is out of my reach”. These words are of Valliyammal, a living legend among the tribals of Kerala. Her curative powers are nothing new to the public of south India. Recently, again she was on the limelight, as she cured the vicious blood cancer of Kozhikode District Medical officer’s son.

Not just cancer alone, Valliyammal also has cure for a wider spectrum of ailments including Asthma, ulcer, blood pressure related diseases, piles, menstrual disorders, kidney stone, infertility, eye sight problems and allergies.

Knowledge of the forest is the core of tribal culture. The only people with a full knowledge about all forest species are the people who adapted themselves to living there. Valliyammal is no exception. She knows the nook and corner of the silent valley forest belt of Western Ghats, Kerala. The silent valley is the abode of a variety of exotic herbs, having amazing curative capabilities. And this wealth goes into the herbal preparations of Valliyammal.
